A certified translation from Urgent Vertalen
We use certified translators to perform our certified translations.
A certified translator is a translation graduate and is authorised to perform certified translations of official documents such as deeds, diplomas, extracts from the trade register of the Chamber of Commerce or birth certificates.
A certified translation in 3 steps
When is a certified translation not necessary?
A certified translation is only necessary if you need the documents for official bodies.
A regular translation is often performed for “personal use” and is often not intended for officialdom. A few examples of things that we translate daily without certification, and to the full satisfaction of our clients, are: websites, handbooks, books and presentations.
Urgent Vertalen performs a large number of regular translations every day for clients including major international companies, small businesses and individuals.
Always a professional certified translation
A certified translation is often referred to as an official translation. But not all documents need to be the subject of a certified translation. Every day we perform certified translations of documents such as: birth certificates, general terms and conditions, diplomas, wills and mortgage deeds. Most of these documents are required for submission to official bodies and therefore require a certified translation.
A certified translation bears the stamp, signature and declaration of the certified translator.
A certified translation is performed by one of our certified translators. All our translators are native speakers and possess a bachelor degree or higher. In addition all our certified translators have taken oath before at least one court in the Netherlands.
Translators deposit their signatures with the court in question, to enable the legalisation of signatures on certified translations. This entitles them to call themselves a certified translator.
Upon taking the oath the translator undertakes to act conscientiously and impartially, to conduct him/herself in a manner befitting a professional certified translator and to observe a duty of confidentiality in respect of all confidential information.
Important information about your certified translation
You would like to obtain a certified translation of a document, and Dutch is not the source language or the target language of the document? This is no problem at all for The Hague's leading translation agency.
Certified translators are also available for a number of language combinations with English as either the source language or the target language, for example a certified translation from English into German. Unfortunately there is not a single translator in the Netherlands who is certified to translate other language combinations, for example from Turkish into Arabic, and it is not possible to obtain a direct certified translation.
This means that it is always necessary to have a certified translation into Dutch performed first, and then a certified translation into the target language. No problem. Naturally you can always expect a clear and attractive price from Urgent Vertalen, in spite of the double translation.
Every day Urgent Vertalen performs a large number of translations for clients including major international companies, small businesses and individuals.
We perform your certified translation urgently, at no extra cost
In order to obtain a certified translation of the required document a clearly legible unedited scan or photo of the original document is sufficient for The Hague's leading translation agency. One of our certified translators will perform the certified translation into the target language. Naturally the project leader will look into which certified translator is the best match for the jargon used in your document.
A copy of the original will then be printed out and attached to the translated document. The certified translator adds his/her signature and stamp and his/her declaration to the document. The certified translation then has the status of an official document within the Netherlands.
